Council Member Ellen Cohen will be hosting a Public Meeting about the proposed Montrose TIRZ on Thursday, November 12, 2015. Over the past year Ms. Cohen has met with numerous neighborhood civic groups, local businesses and faith organizations that represent the Montrose community to discuss the creation of a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone (TIRZ) for Montrose. Based on the community's input, a proposal has been crafted that will facilitate road repairs and other infrastructure improvements without raising taxes.

This proposal is expected to appear on the City Council's agenda before the end of this year. To ensure the Montrose community as the opportunity to learn more about this proposal and how it will affect our neighborhoods, Council Member Cohen is hosting this Public Meeting. Our input is critical to inform her vote.
